About

Siz’ingane is a newly established non-profit organization based in St. Lucia in the heart of the Kwazulu Natal region of South Africa. We work in the Zulu community of Khula village where there is a high rate of HIV and AIDS; this combined with poor nutrition means that the vast majority of children are suffering greatly. Our aim is to work alongside the community enabling the children of Khula village to have the right to good quality healthcare, to clean water, nutritious food, and a clean environment so that they will stay healthy. Siz’ingane’s vision is in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, in particular; that all children have the right to life, to be able to relax and play, to be protected from any activities that could harm their development and have a right to learn and use the language and customs of their families.
